Q:I am interested in this plan. My fiance is a US citizen but coming to Canada for the summer. We need travel insurance for him. While he is here we will be making a couple short (7days) trips to the US. The way I am reading this plan is that it will cover him while he is driving to Canada (2 days) and while he is here in Canada and also coverage while we travel to the US for the trips we plan to take? IS this correct?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The plans will cover him anywhere outside of his home country. As he is a U.S. citizen he will not have coverage within the United States. His domestic insurance should cover him while he is in the U.S. If you have any additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:My mother is 76 years old and arrived in usa from India about 15 days ago on visitors visa for 4 months. I need insurance coverage for her for this period. We currently live in Tacoma in Washington State. 12 years ago, while in India, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer for which she underwent hysterectomy and had uterus surgically removed. Since then she has been cancer free. If she has any similar problems or any other issues related to OB&G while she is here in USA, will it be treated as pre-existing condition? Also, in this situation please advise on the most beneficial plan for her.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are several plans that will cover a visitor into the United States for any new accidents and new illnesses. Cancer however is a specific exclusion with all plans that are available on the market. So anything related would not be an expense that would be covered by the insurance. We are happy to recommend plans for coverage for the new accidents or new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy or an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. If you could please provide the dates of coverage that should needs as well as the visa status that she arrived on we can send you a quote.
