Q:is "in-network hearing aid" covered in the "Safe Travels Elite" insurance ?

A:
The Safe Travels Elite plan is a visitor insurance. These plans provide benefits for new illnesses and new injuries contracted after the effective date. They do not cover preventative care, routine maintenance, elective procedures, or expected treatment of pre-existing conditions or pre-existing conditions in general. Therefore, the Safe Travels Elite plan would not provide coverage for hearing aids regardless of in or out of network.

Q:My mother is visiting USA and i would like to take an insurance for her. She is a diabetic patient and need to cover pre existing conditions also. could you please let me know which insurance i need to buy,

A:
Visitors Protect is the only plan that offers coverage for pre-existing conditions, but it still cannot be known, expected, or routine treatment. Please be advised that it does has a 90 day minimum purchase and is not extendable. It has $1500 deductible built into the plan for anything relating to a pre-existing condition, and it also must be purchased before the insured has left their home country. Other plans, like Atlas America or Patriot America Plus, do offer the Acute onset of pre-existing conditions and are extendable. If you would like to learn more about the Acute Onset of Pre-existing Conditions please click the hyperlink. You can run a quote in the Visitors to U.S.A. section of the website to see what plans are available. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:Hey, I am travelling with my children(3 and 7) to China soon. We will visit Shanghai China for 3 weeks. I would like to know how does this insurance work since most of the hospitals in China have a prepaid system. Can you also provide me a list of hospitals in Shanghai China that accept your insurance. Thank you!

A:
With Travel Medical Insurance you may visit any medical provider you'd like to obtain medical treatment. The medical provider can either ask you to pay up front for medical treatment, or they may coordinate billing directly with the insurance company. A popular plan option for international travelers is the Patriot International Lite. This plan option provides an International Provider Access where you may search for providers that have billed the insurance directly. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please let us know.
