Q:I Am moving to Quebec, Canada at the beginning of January - driving from Minnesota. I am going to get temporary private health insurance for the 3 months that I will live in Quebec before I qualify for provincial health coverage, but If my Minnesota marketplace policy ends on January 1st and I don't arrive in Quebec until the 5th, I will have five days where I will be uninsured, three of them spent driving cross country. IS there a short term insurance policy that I can get as a sort of bridge policy for those five days?

A:
You can look at the travel insurance plans that would cover you outside the home country at travel health insurance for outside USA That means, if you are US resident, it will cover you outside the US. That is, in Canada for you.

Q:Hello. I am a US citizen living in South Korea. I am planning to move to US with my sons(8 & 10yrs). My sons will get US citizenship upon US arrival(they got visa). We are planning to stay min 2 years in California. In this case, what kind of insurance can we get? I want to get insurance for 23 month and then change it to long-term health insurance.

A:
There would not be a plan that we could offer yourself and your children. You will have to purchase a plan through the State Department of Insurance in California or through the marketplace. Should you have questions please let us know.
