Q:Good morning,I am sponsoring my parents for US green cards. They will be moving from Argentina to the US next year. I can see all the plans have a maximum coverage of a year. Can the plan be purchased again once the year goes by?. If my parents have to wait 5 years to get federal health insurance, can we buy the Patriot plan for each of the 5 years? Thank you,Leandro Luzzi

A:
The Patriot America Plus plan is extendable up to 2 years, thereafter you will need to purchase a different plan for them. If at any point they were to become eligible for some sort of domestic insurance plan, these types of plans would be unavailable to them. You may also view the International Major Medical and National General plans for them. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance please let us know. You may call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:I am a US citizen living abroad. I (31F) and my son (5M) will be visiting family in California from July 15 - September 20. I am currently pregnant (due date February 20) but will NOT be in the US for the birth. I am looking for health insurance for myself and my son and I would like coverage for the maternity scans and tests that I will need to have in August (at the 12 week gestation mark). We are otherwise healthy with only a need for health insurance for emergencies.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The insurance plans available will offer the coverage for new illnesses and injuries that manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy. They will exclude the coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. Although we have plans available for US Citizens visiting the United States, such as the Patriot America Plus plan, there would not be a plan available that would allow for the coverage for routine doctor visits or anything related to maternity coverage. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance please let us know. You may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:Is covid testing covered under my insurance policy?

A:
The Safe Travels Outbound Cost Saver plan can allow coverage for COVID testing as long as it is deemed medically necessary, under physician recommendation due to signs or symptoms for diagnostic purposes.
