I would like to know if I buy your platinum or America plus insurance for my travel would it cover the following:- 1) I have gone through CABG 6 years ago. Take a heart stabilization and a blood thinner(ecosprin) one a day. I am in good health as per my doctors.Still want to know>>> My question is that in the event of any condition that leads to another by pass operation WOULD THAT OPERATION BE COVERED BY INSURANCE OR NOT.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Insurance will not pay for any routine dr. visit for the existing conditions. However, some plan provides acute onset of pre-existing conditions below age 70yrs. More information on acute onset of pre-ex, /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Before we suggest any plan would like to know your age, travel date and which state do you need coverage? Once we get these information will be glad to send the quote by e-mail. Meantime, Please visit our website at www.insubuy.com Enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans, narrow by with pre-ex coverage and compare them side by side. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us. Thank you for your prompt reply. Your definition/explanation of pre-existing condition is not understood by me . I have stated my specific condition in my last email and shall appreciate if your reply can be consider the fact stated by me. Since I personally do not and cannot understand the medical terminologies hence confused whether your visitor insurance would be suited or serve the desired purpose or not for my visit of 80-90 days or so. I am 67 years and intend to visit USA California, Seattle , NJ and NC and have no other sickness of any nature ,travel very frequently to Europe, Asia,UK etc on business and pleasure visits. Other than that I have gone through CABG because of blockages noticed in 2010. Shall greatly appreciate your promptness . Thanks The plans are primarily designed to cover only any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. There is no coverage for a pre-existing condition (any condition, whether known or unknown, which manifest before the effective date of the policy), a routine doctors visit, immunizations, or medications in relation to a pre-existing condition. The Patriot America Plus plan provides coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. If something were to happen to you which is due to the stated condition, there would only be coverage if your scenario meets the definition of acute onset of a pre-existing condition. This is defined as a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition which occurs spontaneously without any advance warning and treatment must be obtained within 24 hours of the occurrence. If something were to happen to you the determination of approval or denial under this benefit would be made by the claims department, and they will use the attending physician statement to make their decision. If you have any additional questions please let us know. You may also contact our office at (866) INSUBUY to speak with a licensed agent.

Q:Questions about Visitors insurance: Inbound Guest Plan I am looking at insurance for my visiting parents and narrowed down Inbound Guest Plan for one month's duration as it covers pre existing conditions. Only my mom (61 years) is on medication due to high BP, but not my dad (64 years) who does not have this issue. I have a few questions: 1. What is the amount covered in case one of the insured person lands up in a hospital due to, say, a stroke or heart attack? 2. Is there any limitation or exclusion to what you would pay for the procedures, tests or inpatient expenses involved? 3. Would any of the above be different for my Mom vs. my Dad? 4. The Pre existing conditions page of the website says that "pre-existing conditions in the last 6 months are not covered". Does that mean my mom would not be covered if she gets hospitalized due to a stroke/ heart attack??? Thanks,

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are no plans on the market which would cover a pre-existing condition for a visitor to the U.S. These plans are designed to cover only any new illness, injuries or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. In the event of an acute onset of a pre-existing condition the plan provides coverage up to the policy maximum you select. Since this is a fixed coverage plan, it would pay the fixed amount as per the schedule of benefits. Please use the link below to review the FAQ in regards to pre-existing conditions, and the acute onset. You may also contact our office at (866) INSUBUY and speak with a licensed agent. Q:Clarifying some doubts prior to purchasing visitor medical insurance My daughter is 28 and she is going to NYC for 3 months soon. She is from and lives in Portugal. I tried to study in the internet how insurances works in the USA for foreigners and some doubts came... I saw in your site www.insubuy.com some insurances and I willing to buy the one which is in the screenshot attached. With $0 deductible and $1.000.000 policy max But I read some bad reviews about Atlas, although very good about Fallon which I presume is one of your staff. Questions: 1. If anything happens the best option is to go to a PPO Network doctor or hospital, right? 2. If an emergency occurs, with this policy $1.000.000 and she needs to go under surgery, or intensive care, till how much this specific policy covers? 3. Is this a so called comprehensive coverage policy? 4. Does it include travel issues, like described in the policy terms attached below. 5. If a claim is needed, it will be to Insubuy or Atlas made? I will very pleased for your answer item by item and what plus you feel be useful.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. 1. This is correct the most benefit will come from going to an in network provider, these are the providers that have agreed to work upon network negotiated rates. 2. The Atlas America plan works in the following way: After the deductible the plan will pay 80% to the first $5,000 dollars of medical expenses, then 10% to the chosen policy maximum. However if the provider is in network and directly bills , the plan will waiver your 20% coinsurance and pay 100% after the deductible for the eligible expense. 3. Atlas America is a comprehensive plan. 4. There are not any policy terms attached please resubmit these terms and we can make a determination on whether or not this plan will meet them. 5. Claims will be submitted directly to the claims department. If you have any other question please feel free to contact our office. 1. Got PPO Network hospitals in NYC? 2. Suppose she got suddenly ill and she goes or is taken to an hospital emergency. Hopefully the event is solved and she is discharged (not admitted as inpatient). In this case how much she's got to pay. Please see the answers to your questions below. If you have any additional questions please let us know. You may also contact our office at (866) INSUBUY. 1. The Atlas America plan utilizes the First Health PPO Network. You may use the link provided below to search for a provider in your area. First Health PPO Network: /travel-and-student-insurance-ppo-network/ 2. The plan covers emergency room visits up to the policy maximum. You would first pay your deductible amount, then the plan will pay either 100 percent (if you are in-network and the provider bills directly) or 80 percent of the first $5,000 in covered expenses. There is a $200 penalty charged if they visit the ER, and are not admitted to the hospital.

Q:Travel Medical Insurance, husband USA citizen, wife non Schengen Romanian citizen Is it possible to get visa letter in French as well as English? I am not sure how to go about ordering the insurance, since one of us is a citizen of USA, me, and the other is an EU citizen, but from outside of Schengen area, Romania. my wife. Would this necessitate a separate visa letter for each of us? We need insurance from this weekend thru October, possibly thru the end of the year. Should we order it separately or as a married couple, since there is no way to indicate citizenship of spouse. Which of your carriers, Patriot, Atlas or Safe travels. It appears that your company and not carrier is key to having good results should something happen.

A:
The Patriot International and Patriot America plan can be requested with French visa letter. Upon making you purchase please send an email to info@insubuy.com including your certificate numbers and we can have these letter produced. I lost all info when I hit continue at near the end of application, do I need to save application first before I hit continue? Ida is a dual citizen of Hungary and Romania with Romania as her home country. For her government issued ID should we use her national id card number from Romania? Should I use my passport number or social security number for my USA government ID number? We are living in France and plan to remain at our current address, should we use the address here or should I use my official address in the USA or Ida's official address in Romania? Upon making your purchase you will automatically receive your policy documents via email, to include your visa letter in English. You will immediately after purchase send the email requesting French visa letters to the email previously provided as this will be a special request that will be done at it is not standard for a visa letter to be in French. Be sure to include your certificate numbers in this email. It is not necessary to save information as you progress as the information should be available unless the application has been open for an extended period. The government issued ID that is being requested will be your passport numbers. You can use your French address if that is where you are both currently residing this is only used for delivery of policy documents.
