Q:H1B visa - pregnancy 1st month Hi there I have H1 B visa but havent come to USA still. I have planned to come next month.. I am already one month pregnant Is there any insurance which covers me I am in UK present Can anyone please advise me. Thank you

A:
No, there is no such insurance product from any company anywhere to cover your maternity expenses if you are already pregnant. Are there any alternatives to have the delivery costs minimal ~Devi You will have to pay it yourself.

Q:J1 and J2 insurance Hi, my husband and I want to buy the "INBOUND USA" plan, we hold J1 and J2 visa at Chicago. I will stay here for about 6 months-1 year according to the concrete arrangement, so I want to buy this plan monthly, will our account be renewable?

A:
Yes, you can go month by month in Inbound USA. It is not automatic payment. You have to renew explicitly at My Account There is $5 renewal fee every time. Thanks. So we just need to access My Account to buy the renewal one at the same membership number and needn't to buy new one, right? When we get this renewal, do we need to change the Certificate card? I heard that there has the expired date in the card. By the way, Inbound USA plan meets all the requirements of J1 and J2 visa, does it? And do we share one common account/Membership Number? Yes, you just visit that web page to renew the insurance. Insurance card has the expiration date. Every time you renew, you will get a new insurance card but it will have the same ID number. J1/J2 insurance requirements say that you need at least $50,000/incident and Inbound USA has that. However, Inbound USA internal limitations for each benefit and J1/J2 regulation does not say anything explicit about that. Therefore, you decide. If you want to buy good J1/J2 plan that has no internal limitations, look at comprehensive plans at /j1-visa-health-insurance/ Do the comprehensive coverage plans have the renewal? Visit USA: No Patriot Exchange: Only if purchased minimum 3 months initially, you can renew month by month. So patriot exchange plan is the best for us, right? we will have a common membership number, right? 1. Yes. 2. Yes. I have purchase the Patriot Exchange plan for 3 months, would you please give me a website link of the renewal? because I haven't found it. Thanks! /international-medical-global-extension/

Q:Patriot America I am looking to buy Patriot America Medical insurance for my parents. I have few questions 1. How does the deductible work. I understand that its annual. Do I need to pay the deductible (e.g 100$) upfront or do I need to pay it the first time my parents visit a doctor. Is the deductible per person (since I plan to buy it for both my parents) 2. Who are the underwriters for Patriot America 3. How does the coinsurance work (9010). If my parents visit a doctor, and the doctor charges 100$ for the visit, do we need to pay 10$ and the insurance pays the rest. thanks sreenivas

A:
1. Deductible is the amount you have to pay first once before insurance company pays anything. You don't have to deductible now. Only when you get sick. 2. Sirius International. 3. That's right. After you pay the deductible, insurance company pays 90% for first $5,000, you pay 10% and after that, insurance company pays 100% up to policy maximum. I have a follow up question. So if I choose Patriot America with a deductible of $500, then I am looking at spending Deductible = $500 Co-insurance = $5000 * 0.10 = $500 Total = $1000 for a possible large medical expense, say a hospital stay that cost $25,000. Is that the way the coinsurance would work? Just checking if the co-insurance has to reach $5000 or $500 for stop-loss coverage. Thanks. You are right. You pay maximum $500 (Five Hundred) towards the coinsurance, which is 10% of $5,000 (Five Hundred). You are right. You pay maximum $500 (Five Hundred) towards the coinsurance, which is 10% of $5,000 (Five Hundred). Thanks for the quick response. I will probably be buying two policies (one for mom and one for Dad). They will be here for about 2 months and 25 days. I am almost certain they are not planning on extending their stay. I will still consider between playing it safe with Protection America or going with a little cheaper Patriot. Compare the prices for 3 months of Patriot and the price of 2 months 25 days Protection. Go for whichever comes out cheaper. I plan on purchasing Patriot America insurance for both my parents together, under the same application. Could you please confirm if the deductible is per applicant or per application? If I choose $500 as deductible, how much will the deductible be in the event that both my parents require medical assistance at the same time? Thanks in advance for your reply. Deductible is per person. Therefore, if both parents require assistance, you have to pay the deductible per person. Actually, I recommend that you put two persons in separate applications. You will not loose anything but will have more flexibility. Read relevant FAQ at /visitors-medical-insurance/ Hi i want to buy patriot insurance for my mom. just few questions..... 1) do i need to pay first and then claim? 2) do IMG send a detailed notification of coverage that they paid to hospitals and coinsurance i have to pay to the hospitals. 3) how they decide any preexisting illness? 4) do i need to call insurance company before going to the doctors or emergency room? 1. Read /international-medical-ppo-network/ 2. Yes. 3. Based on the medical records, treatment records and attending physician's statement. 4. No. For major things, read /international-medical-pre-certification/

Q:Patriot and Protection America I am trying to compare the two plans. The benefits look the same. Any idea why the Protection plan is costing more than Patriot ? Thanks

A:
Patriot America: You must purchase initially for at least 3 months and pay upfront in order to be able to renew in future. Protection America: You can initially for as little as 5 days and still be able to renew it. It is best to renew the policy so that it remains continuous coverage rather than purchase it agin. If you are planning to purchase for less than 3 months initially and if there is even a small possibility of renewal, go for Protection America. If you are paying for at least 3 months upfront, it is fine to go to with Patriot America. Ok... Thanks for the super fast response !!!!!!!

Q:Liasion Worldwide /Seven Corners worst insurace. Seven Corners is one of the worst travel insurance companies. They are not straight forward. They are very good at selling their plans but when you send them a claim thats when the real trouble begins. They ask you to wait atleat 15 days to know if they recieved the fax you sent. Then after that they dont immedieatly tell you any thing but when you follow up with them for 4to 5 times they will ask for your travel related documets such as passport tickets etc. once you send them you will wait for 15 more days then they will ask you detailed bills, etc and medical records by that time you would have called them hundreds of times and burnt almost 4 to 5 months if you dont send any thing they ask they will just close your case. Even after sending every thing they will decide your case is not valid for that type of insurance you bought. If you buy insurance with them you are buying tickets to hell.
