Q:My uncle is currently in India and is coming to USA on a Visitors Tourist Visa for 6 months. He has a pre-existing medical condition of: Thyroid, BP, (and maybe Atrial fibrillation). He takes care of his health by regular intake of medications and is doing very well. Doctor has given him a green signal to travel. Now, he wants to buy an insurance that would cover him during his stay in the USA just in case he gets some problem. I saw that you have many insurance options for the TOURIST VISA holders to the USA. Could you please advise me that which insurance policy should we buy from you which will be applicable to him? Dates when he will be in USA: 19th Dec 2016 to 15th June 2017.

A:

Q:I am a U.S. citizen on Medicare. My wife of 2 years is Canadian and has her green card. For her, we currently have Obamacare Floridablue insurance. Your insurance is more affordable. Two questions: 1. Is there a prescription drug coverage policy other than the discount card? If it is not subsidized, the what factors make it much cheaper? 2. Why is the price so much below what we have on the open market? T. Hoy Booker

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. If your wife has domestic insurance or Obama Care plan you should continue the same plan. Insurance you find on our website is available for whoever is not eligible for domestic insurance. And insurance is not expensive because it's short term plan and insurance will pay for whatever treatment medically necessary as long as it's not pre-existing or preventive care and does not cover maternity also. Insurance will pay for whatever medicine necessary for the treatment as long as it's not pre-existing medicine or preventive care medicine. Insurance will pay 80% for the first $5000 of medical expense once you satisfy your deductible. I would suggest her to continue with Obama care plan.

Q:My family (my wife and two children) are staying temporarily under visitor visa B2 in Texas. I am confused which health insurance plan will be suitable and applicable for them. We need insurance that will be able to cover Autism management (ABA therapy) for my son for 5-6 months.

A:
Unfortunately, there is no insurance for an international visitor which covers ABA therapy. You have to pay from your pocket. Please read the following link.

Q:I am residing in Alpharetta GA. My brother is in India. He had a major head injury 2 years back and havs lost his vision. Docs in India have raised their hands so now I am planning to bring him here for get him visited the doctor for short term. May i get any kind of insurance for him? Any options?

A:
Insurance you can purchase for an international visitor is short term insurance and short term insurance will cover for any new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It does not cover any pre-existing or preventive care. Some plan provides coverage only for acute onset of pre-ex. Please find more information here But if you want him to come here for some treatment or second opinion. You will be responsible for all the expense. Please visit our website at www.insubuy.com To find some plan for new sickness or injuries.

Q:May i know the costing details for parents visiting USA. Expected duration - 4 Months Age -69 , 65

A:
Thank you for your quick response. As your dad will turn to 70 while his stay in US. Most of the plan benefits changes at 70 years. But some plan does not. So I would suggest those plans. You can go for either Patriot America Plus or Atlas America plan. Both plan provides coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. You can compare these plans on our website We have sent quote in a separate e-mail also. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
