Q:Hello, I plan to buy insurance for parents who are residing in India and traveling to Australia for 3 months on visitors Visa. Can I buy insurance from Insubuy and be able to claim if the need arises? Since we are citizen of India and residing in India and not in US. My main concern is that Insubuy is a US based website and if I buy insurance from the site will I have all the benefits during claim (if required) vs if I buy insurance from an Indian or Australian insurance company? Are there any difference I should be aware of since travelers don't reside in US ? Thanks!

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The plans will cover the insured persons anywhere outside of their home country. The plans will work for Indian citizens traveling to Australia. You will still be able to claim for the eligible expenses irrespective of the insurers being U.S. based. There are several plans that would be available to them for coverage. Please use the link listed below for more information on these plans. Q:Hello, I live in Israel, have a US citizenship, and will attend a 2 months summer session in Stanford this summer. I need a "yes" on all these sections in the link below. Can you provide me with such insurance?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, there is not a plan that we can offer you to meet these requirements as a U.S. citizen. It is recommended that you purchase coverage from your University if available. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.

Q:If i book a ticket for my son to leave USA once he comes in June and then come back to USA when his school starts , would his current trip be considered as visitor and he is eligible for visitors insurance ? So basically i am breaking his trip into two trips -- an initial trip as visitor and then a second trip where his intention is to stay and he can look for domestic options. Can you suggest rules around this ? what proof would we need to show -- is a ticket leaving USA okay

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. If you wanted to break his trip into 2 trips that is fine to do and he can purchase the Patriot America Plus plan for coverage for the first trip in which he is visiting. As far as what proof could be request can range from a complete copy of the passport or ticket from his travels.

Q:Is this allowed -- since my wife is visiting for 3 months and intends to return -- she is eligible for Patriot America visitor and can my son become a dependent as he is a minor (< 18) Or they have to take separate insurance -- visitor for my wife and Short term (STM) for my son. Another challenge seems to be that -- given the age of my son -- most STM dont accept him as primary holder.

A:
Your wife if visiting can go with the Patriot America plan. Your son however, will be staying once returning and therefore he cannot be added to the Patriot Plan. He would need to be enrolled into domestic insurance. If available in your state, he could enroll him into our STM plan until his domestic insurance begins. Because he will be living here, you will need to get him enrolled into the domestic insurance once he arrives, and then the STM plan can cover him until his effective date with the domestic plan. If our STM plan is not available in your state, or will not cover him due to his age, you can contact your State's State Department of Insurance to see what temporary plans may be available to him. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I just wonder if you have any travel insurance plans that will cover preexisting medical conditions? We have some visitors that would like to have such coverage.

A:
It depends on what they are wanting coverage for. There is no plan on the market that a visitor can purchase that will cover pre-existing conditions unless it's an Acute Onset of a pre-existing condition. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact us.
