Q:We are Canadians, my husband is studying in the USA on an F1 student visa and I am here also as an F2 dependent. I am already pregnant and I know that there are no plans to cover the childbirth part. But I am wondering if there are any plans when I am already pregnant that would cover the newborn baby, any complications and just regular checkups.

A:
We would not have any plans that would provide coverage for the baby. If your child is born in the U.S. and therefore a U.S. citizen, you should contact the HealthCare Exchange or the State Department of Insurance in the state in which you are residing for options and information regarding possible coverage available. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I have been on H1. But recently I have been laid off. I am on the grace period of 2 months to get a job to continue to stay in US. If I am not getting a job in time, I am converting my status to B2 and I will stay for 6 months on B2. Am I eligible to apply for Visitor Insurance for the present 2 months as well as for the 6 months thereafter?

A:
We would have 2 plan options that could be available to you depending on the state in which you are residing, until you are on an active B2 visitor visa. /international-major-medical-insurance/ /short-term-health-insurance/ If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

A:
Our plans will only cover someone outside of their home country. Because he will be residing in Italy, we would not have any plans available to him. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:My parents are visiting US in May and they have preexisting conditions like diabetes. Can someone please reach out and explain which one will be good

A:
We have one plan that can provide some pre-existing condition coverage. It does have a 90 day minimum purchase, so even if you put in dates less that 90, it will still charge you for a full 90 days. This plan has a built in $20,000 or $25,000 benefit for pre-existing condition coverage as long as you are fit to travel and not coming to the U.S. specifically for medical treatment. It also has an individual $1500 deductible. Also, they can not have departed home country at the time of purchase. This will not cover general expected care, but can provide coverage for unexpected issues. https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-protect-insurance/
