Q:I am in my OPT period now and trying to purchase my own health insurance. My university is University of Missouri- St. Louis. Does any of your plan cover doctor visits and medicine for birth control pills?

A:
Plans will cover whatever is medically necessary related to new accidents or new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. The plans will not cover the cost of preventative care or contraceptives. This will be an expense that you will have to pay for out of pocket. If you need any additional clarification please feel free to reach out to our office.
