Q:I Mom and Sister are Indian citizens visiting united states for 6 months. Mom is 66 years old and has Arthritis. Sister is 30 years old and has Type 1 Diabetes. They will only be travelling if their conditions are completely under control. I'm anticipating both of them may likely require an outpatient visit given their conditions. Do any of the insurance plans you sell cover outpatient costs for pre-existing conditions ?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. However there are no plans on the market that will cover the cost of outpatient (routine) visits for pre-existing conditions. This is not a service that is available on the market. The plans will cover the new accidents and new illnesses that occur after the effective date of the policies. If there are any routine visits that are made these will have to be paid for solely out of pocket. The only instance related to a pre-existing condition that could be covered is in the event of a life threating emergency. Please see the FAQ link listed below about the Acute Onset Benefit.
