Q:Our Granddaughter (4 year old) will be arriving in USA on Tourist Visa B1/B2. As explained in my previous mail; the problem is due to her dates of stay in USA are different from our stay in USA. Her parents are also joining us in USA on a later date and leaving back to India with her on 17th June.

A:
You can purchase Atlas America plan. You have two options. You can enroll your daughter with you or you can do separate application. Atlas America plan you can extend policy only for her if you and your wife leaving earlier than her. Any other plan you cannot extend insurance only for her. So you have to do separate application for her. If you provide insured person age, travel date which state do you need coverage and will be glad to send you quote by email. You can also find various plans on our website at /visitors-insurance/ Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My parents are residents in Canada and plan to visit us in Maryland for the summer. I notice Atlas America has geographic restriction which exclude residents in Canada. Safe Travels USA Comprehensive does not have such restriction.

A:
We would be glad to advise. You would not be able to purchase Atlas America for them as they cannot be physically located in Canada or Maryland at the time of purchase. You could purchase the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan for them however. That plan does not have geographic restrictions for either Canada or Maryland. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:There are 3 quotes when I click through. I don't need pre-existing conditions covered so have ruled out Patriot America Plus. But does Patriot America offer the same Home Country rules as below (5 days per month accrued and if I go over this I'm not covered in home country but policy is still valid when I leave home country)? If so what is the difference between Patriot America and Diplomat Long Term? - Just to confirm, whichever policy needs to cover me whether I book UK (my home country) to South Africa back to UK or US to Caribbean back to US with no time limit on when I return back to home country - Is there a saving by booking this as a couple vs 2 separate policies? - Your adventure sports rider package doesn't seem to cover skiing/snowboarding. What option would we need to cover this and what is the extra cost? - Is there an option to add on extra trip cover elements like lost personal items, cancellation, delays etc?

A:
We would be glad to advise. 1. The only difference between Patriot America Plus and Patriot America is the Acute onset benefit. 2. There are several differences between Patriot America and Diplomat America. The Patriot plans will cover during travel in the U.S. and anywhere in the world outside your home country the Diplomat plan will only cover in the U.S. 3.After the deductible Patriot will cover at 100% for covered expenses Diplomat will pay up to 80% of the first $5,000 in covered expenses and then at 100%. 4. Diplomat does not have incidental home country coverage 5. Patriot uses the United Healthcare PPO Network, Diplomat does not have a network with the plan. 6. Diplomat is not extendable or refundable, Patriot plans are. These are the main differences. These plans can cover loss of checked luggage, but not other trip or travel issues. Those would be our trip insurance plans. I have attached the link below for those plans for you to review. /travel-insurance/ Please let us know if you have additional questions.
