Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Short term health insurance plans for visitors to the USA are primarily designed to cover new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. These plans will not provide coverage for pre-existing conditions, routine doctor's visits, or preventative treatments. There are many plans which will provide coverage for an Acute Onset of a Pre-existing Condition. Which is defined as a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition that occurs all of sudden without any prior symptoms or warnings and treatment must be taken within 24 hours. There is a plan called the Atlas America which will provide coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition up to the policy maximum you select. You may use the links to review the plan details and the FAQ for the acute onset of a pre-existing condition benefit for your review. If you have any additional questions please let us know. You may also contact our office at (866) INSUBUY.
