Q:My mother aged 58 years, is traveling to US for a duration of 5 weeks. I would like to purchase an insurance for her but quite overwhelmed with the options on your site. Can you help me identify few preferred insurance or can you send me some suggestions with links on your website? I need just the basic insurance with basic coverage, preferably an option for pre-existing conditions coverage and also some travel coverage.

A:
Based on her age we would recommend either Atlas America or Patriot America Plus in the Visitors to USA section of our website. Once you have run the quotes you will find the recommended plans in the comprehensive section. There is no plan available on the market that will cover pre-existing conditions but both of these plans have a benefit for an Acute Onset of a pre-existing condition. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am traveling to the USA and MEXICO. Does the Patriot America Plus cover my time in both countries?

A:
As long as your primary destination is the US and your country of residence is not the US or Mexico, Patriot America Plus will cover in both the countries.

For your father, one of the more popular plan options is the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive. For your mother, a popular option is the Atlas America plan. You may get quotes here for them, just be sure to run separate quotes as they are under separate age groups. You may also purchase over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:I have questions regarding travel health insurance. I live and work in the United States (MA) on a F1 visa and I am originally from India. I want to get travel health insurance for Schengen visa. How does this policy work for non US citizens? What do I add my Home country as in this case? Could you give me more details about this and how can I get my policy?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. In your situation the home country should be listed as the United States in the application. Any plan in the Schengen Visa Section of our website will meet the Schengen visa requirements. We do recommend you select a $0 deductible.
