Q:Hello team - I have been a customer of Insubuy and have been buying visitor insurance policies for my relatives visiting to USA for about last 3-4 years. I have a question related to buying visitor insurance policy for my parents' upcoming visit this year. I am considering Safe Travels USA Comprehensive - and was thinking of increasing the deductible to $2500 for a lower premium rate. I also noticed that the policy feature says that the doctor's visits are are also subjected to annual deductible. However, th policy feature also says that the deductible is waived off for In-network provider. So now, my question is that if I buy this policy for 50,000 max with a deductible for $2500 - and then assuming my parents have to visit an In-network Primary care physician who typically charges $140 - what will be my responsibility in the first visit? Would appreciate if you could answer the above and help me make an informed decision during policy buying process. Thanks!

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy . The Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan will waive your deductible if you are visiting an in network provider. So in your mentioned scenario your responsibility would be $0 for the eligible expense.

Q:Does the insurance also cover maternity?

A:
The available plans will cover the new accidents and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy. Plans do not cover pre-exiting conditions, preventative care or maternity for a F2 visa holder alone. We do offer plans that will cover maternity but they are only available if the F1 is enrolled into the plan as well.

Q:We are in North Carolina. F2 does not have any illnesses right now, but what if we go to the hospital after the effective date and do a check-up just to see if she is ok. Will it cover that checkup? And if she needs further attention, will it cover that ?

A:
Plans do not cover preventative care so a checkup will not be covered.
