Q:Can a H2-B without a health insurance have a baby in the country (been working in the country 2 yrs now got pregnant) want to know what I can do

A:
There are no laws preventing you from giving birth in the United States, so you may do so if that is what you would like. However, there are no visitors plan that will cover for regular maternity related expenses or childbirth, though some plans do offer coverage for Complications of Pregnancy within the first 26 Weeks. Therefore if you would like to give birth in the US, be prepared to pay fully out of pocket for those expenses. It would be recommended to take insurance through you or your partners work, or check your eligibility for domestic insurance at HeathCare.gov or through a local insurance provider. If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at 1(866) INSUBUY to speak to one of our agents.

With your policy, you are able to set a future cancelation date and view the estimated refund amount on your MyAccount. Q:My wife, a citixen of India, is 55 years old and will be visiting the USA for about 75 days. What is the maximum insurance she can get that includes coverage of pre-existing conditions?

A:
Visitors Protect is the only plan that offers coverage for pre-existing conditions, but it still cannot be known, expected, or routine treatment. It has a 90 day minimum purchase and $1500 deductible built into the plan for anything relating to a pre-existing condition. It must be purchased before the insured has left their home country, and the sub-limited maximum amount of coverage that is available for pre-existing conditions is $25,000 ($50k, $100k, or $250k policy max available for expenses related to new injuries or illnesses). Other plans, like Atlas America or Patriot America Plus, do offer the Acute onset of pre-existing conditions. If you would like to learn more about the acute onset of pre-existing conditions please click the hyperlink. You can run a quote in the Visitors to U.S.A. section of the website to see what plans are available. If you have any additional questions please let us know.
