Q:Travel information Required My Mom 65 years old, and she is having heart problems since 4 years, she is in medication WARFARIN since than. Never she had stroke any surgeries in her life. Last year she travel from INDIA to USA for 6 months, she came USA in month of MAY and travel back in November, last week on November she got a stroke and moved to ER in ambulance, and doctors confirmed that she got a acute embolic stroke, she got blood clot on left side and right part of her body weakens. Their was a procedure done by Aurora hospitals. and she discharged in 3 days with good health. Now we are planning to bring her back to USA for 4 months during summer holidays. Wanted the insurance options we can take for her. Please send me details about per-existing conditions

A:
The plans will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date so if there is any treatment needed for her pre-existing condition it would not be covered. Based on her age, most of the plans will include an Acute Onset benefit. Please provide the dates you would like coverage and the state she will be visiting and we will forward a quote for the plans we would recommend. You can also contact our office to speak with a licensed agent to discuss your options. Meantime, you can also get quote at our website. Enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans. You can narrow by pre-ex (Acute onset of pre-ex) and compare them side by side. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My mother is 77 years old, and she has pre-condition (diabetic). She is a US green card holder. My mother is coming to US this 04/06/17 and she is going to visit me for several months. We haven't decided the length of the visit, it may last 3-6 months. I searched your web site and found the Patriot America Plus plan. Can you please tell me if this is a good insurance plan for my mother? Please explain the condition "Acute onset of pre-existing conditions coverage to policy max: Age<70". Is this means that my mother will not be covered under an unexpected outbreak of a pre-existing condition because of her age?. If yes, can you please suggest another plan (Comprehensive Coverage Plan) that covers my mother's age. Also, I will prefer to pay for the insurance month-by-month, since we haven't decided the length of the visit. Is this allowed?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Based on the information provided below we would recommend purchasing the Patriot America Plan instead of the Patriot America Plus Plan. Both plans provide similar coverage, except the Patriot America Plus plan will provide coverage for the acute onset of a pre-existing condition for anyone age 69 or below. An acute onset of a pre-existing condition is defined as a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition that occurs all of a sudden without any prior symptoms or warnings and treatment must be taken within 24 hours. Unfortunately since your mother is over the age of 69 the plan will only provide coverage for new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. The Patriot America plan is renewable, so you may renew the coverage month by month. You may purchase the plan by using the link provided below or by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:I'll be migrating to Atlanta, Georgia shortly. I'll be shifting from India with my wife Nivetha (aged 32) and son Krish (aged 4). I'll be arriving on an L1 visa and my wife and son will be on an L2. I wanted to buy a short term insurance for a month or so before I settle down and go for permanent health coverage.

A:
Insurance for the interim period until your long-term insurance begins would be a plan called Patriot America Plus . This plan will cover the new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. This plan will only be available until you are eligible to enroll into a long term plan. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am an international graduate student at Florida State University on a F1 visa. I am interested in purchasing the International Student Health Insurance for the upcoming fall semester and waive the requirement for purchasing the university health insurance. I am attaching with this email the waiver questions as a .pdf document and I would like to know if all of them are compliant with the International Student Health Insurance coverage. I understand that I have one than one option for purchasing the InsuBuy Insurance, so it would be great if you can tell me which one(s) satisfies the waiver criteria and how much it will cost me per month (I will turn 30 by the time the insurance takes effect). Finally, I would like to know if you offer a daily rate, which would be helpful if I need coverage for, say, only the first half of a month. Looking forward to hearing back from you,

A:
