Q:How much it cost monthly for international students.

A:
We have many international student insurance plans and the price depends upon your age, and the exact plan that you purchase. What plan you should or you can purchase depends upon the minimum requirements established by your school. Therefore, it would be the best if you can contact your school, get their waiver form and send it to us so that we can evaluate it and suggest you various eligible plans to choose from.

Q:Hello - I purchased visitors insurance (HCCMIS - comprehensive) for my in-laws who came to US on march 3rd. Due to travel restrictions I am planning to extend. Can you clarify if Covid-19 is covered if I extend ?

A:
By looking at your e-mail address. You have purchased Atlas America plan and it's expiring on Apr 18th. As per the policy certificate wording your current plan had coverage for COVID-19 until Apr 6th. Please look at the certificate wording specifically page 27 item #43. You can purchase new policy Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan. There is no specific exclusion for COVID-19. It will be covered as any other sickness as long as they are infected after the effective date of the policy.

Q:No your earlier answer to my question is not clear. I want to know if any further episode or stroke or any flare up of preexisting condition will be covered. I am not talking about medicines for my preexisting conditions. Could you spell out the specific events covered by the comprehensive policies and those not covered before I pick up any plan?

A:
Please look at the certificate wording of each insurance plan at visitors insurance. You will see many plans listed. Next to each plan, there is a link to certificate wording. That describes the benefits and exclusions. That is the most amount of information we have available. In short, there is no way to tell for sure whether a specific combinations of scenarios would be covered or excluded, until it happens. The claims department would determine based on the attending physician's statement and the medical records whether any claim is an eligible one or not, as per the certificate wording. Each case is unique and there is no generic Yes/No answer. If you have any further questions, please call our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY so that we can discuss with you.
