Q:Hello, I would like to get some information regarding visitor insurance to usa. I have a pre-existing condition of lumber spine disc bulge for which I got steroid injections in my home country and I am fine now. I am planning to visit usa for 6 weeks. I would like to know that if I get some sudden back pain over there for which I need to see a doctor, will that visit be covered by the insurance? Also the treatment advised by the doctor may be another steroid injection or a surgery, would that be also covered in my insurance plan?

A:
The plans available for visitors are designed to cover the new illnesses and injuries that manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy. They will exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. There are some plans that will offer the acute onset benefit within their coverage that may be beneficial to you. You may view all plans for visitors here. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance with a recommendation you may call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:On your Costa Rica Travel insurance page you have an email form the ICT written by Nelson Torres. He is no longer answering emails. Can you provide me with a more up to date letter or email from the ICT that states they will accept your policy for entry to Costa Rica. I'm traveling on December 2nd and would like to buy your insurance but am concerned about getting there and not being allowed to enter because they do not accept your policy. Thanks a bunch for your help. By the way, I own a hotel in Costa Rica and I would love to share the info you provide in response to this letter with my clients on my website. You have the least expensive insurance policy that covers the entry requirements for Costa Rica that I have been able to find.

A:
The Safe Travels Voyager plan will meet the requirements necessary to enter Costa Rica. You may view the sample ID card here. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance please let us know.

Q:I will be starting my studies in Spring 2021 semester in Beaumont, TX as a F-1 student. I will be attending Lamar University for my graduate studies program. I searched my university on your website but it says F1 students are required to take university health insurance. Since the university health plan is slightly on the higher side therefore, I am looking for some affordable health insurance along meeting the insurance waiver requirements from Lamar University. Please do share the quotation if you have any health insurance plans that meets the University requirements

A:
Thank you for contacting us for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, there is not a plan available that would meet your school's requirements. We would recommend purchasing through your school. Should you have additional questions please let us know.
