Q:Safe Travel USA Trip Protection I called earlier and spoke with Anthony in regards to Travel/trip Insurance. I have received a quote for medical insurance, quote 26266549, which is great and covers everything I need medically. We discussed Trip protection as well...he said he wasn't able to send me the quote for trip protection, but said I qualified for the Safe Travel USA Trip protection. I have looked it up and it looks like it includes medical insurance as well as trip protection. I just wanted to make sure I still qualify for that insurance. My details are: Age: 28 Country of Residence: I live and work in Australia (I'm applying for de-facto visa/permanents residency, but have not been granted the visa, yet) Citizen: USA My Trip starts July 30 2016 and Ends August 21 2016 I am looking to cover around $100,000 for medical with no deductible And my trip costs are around $1,600.00

Q:Residency status and eligibility for coverage I read on your site that "Atlas America is a comprehensive coverage plan for non-U.S. citizens traveling outside their home country." I have a question regarding eligibility for coverage: I have won the Diversity Visa lottery and we will be arriving to the US on Thursday July 14th. I am not sure what our legal status upon arrival is and if that matters for insurance. We got an Immigrant Visa stamp but we won't get our Green Cards immediately; I understand it can take up to two months. So I am not sure whether we are considered Permanent Residents upon arrival or we have to wait until the Green Cards are issued. If we purchase the Atlas America insurance for these first couple of months will we be covered? I would hate to find out that we are not covered if an accident happens.
