Q:I want to buy visitor insurance for my Dad. He will travel in Florida, Ohio and California. I don't know which should I choose when I fill destination state in travel information. If I only choose one state, will the insurance cover all other two states?

A:
When choosing a state you go by the mailing address state. So if your mailing address is in Florida you use Florida as the state. The plans will cover everywhere in the US for visitors. If you need additional information please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I need to cover my nanny for medical insurance asap she is in a B1 visa and I'm on a L1 a Work permit if your able to help please do let me know. Would i Be able to purchase maternity cover for her for a higher premium ?.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. As a visitor into the United States there are a few options for insurance that she would be eligible for. However, there is no plan that will cover the cost of maternity for a visitor. The normal expenses related to pregnancy would be paid for out of pocket from, routine doctor visits to labor and delivery and all that falls within. If eligible there are plans that at most would cover pregnancy complication up to 26 weeks. ( please see the link to the pregnancy FAQ below). Please review the available plans on the Insubuy website and feel free to contact our office if you have any further questions. - Pregnancy FAQ link - Atlas America link

Q:I have purchased fixed coverage visitors insurance plan for my parents. I visited the doctor's office that charged me a total of $350. In addition to examining my mother, he also did a test in his office. The insurance company paid only $60. When I look at the certificate wording, it says that the insurance would pay $60 for doctor visit and $425 for x-rays, labs etc. Why the insurance company has not paid anything for the test that the doctor did?

A:
In fixed coverage plans, whenever you visit a physician's office, whatever he or she does in their office during your visit is considered one physician visit and paid according to the schedule of benefits in the certificate wording. Therefore, if a physician did some tests in their office during your visit, they are all still considered part of the physician visit. The same amount (eligible for physician visit) would be paid, irrespective of whether the charges are billed together or separately. On the other hand, if a physician prescribes a lab work or x-ray and you get it done at another facility outside the doctor's office, that would be considered a separate charge and paid separately to that provider, as long as it is for eligible medical expense. This is a limitation of fixed coverage plan, and therefore, we always recommend everyone to purchase only the comprehensive coverage plans.

Q:I am interested in purchasing the Visitors care plan. I'll be in the US as a visitor from Jan 10th to May 25th 2016. If I buy the plan now, when will the kit reach me? If it reaches before the 11th, it would be hard for me to receive it as I won't be there. If it'll reach later than that, it'd be very helpful.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. As soon as you purchase insurance, you will receive confirmation by e-mail which will have a link to print Virtual id card and other documents that you carry during your travel.. In the application you can provide US address. So it will be mailed next business days by regular mail. Visitors Care Please let us know if you have any further questions.
