A:
You may purchase any plan in the J Visa Insurance section that has a waiting period for pre-existing conditions. One popular plan that will satisfy your requirement is the ExchangeGuard. These plans are primarily designed to cover you for new illnesses, injuries or accidents that occur after the start date of the policy. This plan uses the United Healthcare PPO Network, and you may visit a provider in our outside of this network to obtain medical treatment. You may purchase this plan online or you may buy this plan over the phone by contacting our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY 467-8289. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please let us know.

Q:I will be on several cruises for several months. Is there a specific plan for cruises with multiple destinations?

A:
All plans are generally designed to cover you anywhere outside your home country. When doing an application it is only necessary to put one country, so you would be welcome to just choose the country you will be spending the most amount of time in. Each plan does have its own "geographic restrictions" so it is encouraged to check out those restrictions if it something that you are concerned with. If you are returning to your Home Country between trips, it would be advised to purchase a plan for each trip or call our office at 1(866) 467-8289 to learn about our Multi-Trip Plans or click HERE. If you have any additional questions please let is know

Q:my parents will be traveling to fiji, new zealand and australia. which insurance will cover all three countries

A:
When purchasing any of the plans even though you are only asked to put one country in the search criteria, the plans cover anywhere outside your home country. Before purchasing a plan you can check the geographic restrictions to see if there are any destinations that the plan excludes. If you can enter your information in this link we can quote all our available plans. International travel: /travel-health-insurance/

Q:I am thinking of buying Atlas America Insurance for 3 months and then extending it for a month or more depending on my parents travel plan. If I extend will I have to meet the deductibel and coinsurance again? Or if I had met them during the first 3 months, will it apply during the extension too?

A:
If you met your deductible during the first three months of the plan, the deductible would not reset if you needed to extend it. This is also true for the policy maximum. If you used $10,000 out of a $50,000 policy for an illness/injury and had to extend, you would still have $40,000 left on that policy no matter how long you extended it. If you have any additional questions please let me know.
