Q:I want to enquire about your insurance. My husband has cancer already and we want to come to America for his treatment. Will we be able to take out your insurance for his treatments?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, there are no plans available that will provide coverage for expected medical treatment or pre-existing conditions. Visitors Insurance plans are primarily designed to cover new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:I am looking for health insurance for my 27 yo Daughter in law who is in the US awaiting her green card. She has no pre-existing conditions and is in good health. What would you recommend for her?

A:
We have many plans that she will be eligible to purchase. But before we suggest any plan would like to know how long she has been in US, any current or prior insurance, what's the expiration date of prior insurance, how long do you need coverage and which state do you need coverage for her. Once we get these information will be glad to suggest some plan. In the meantime, Please visit our New Immigrant Insurance section or Short Term Medical Insurance section. Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:Can you tell me what comprehensuve insurance means? What is covered? Will you send proof of insurance? When should I take this insurance? After coming here or before journey?

A:
Comprehensive plans will pay a percentage, anywhere from 75%-100%. Similar to what you see in domestic insurance plans, as far as coinsurance goes. The policies cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the policy. You will receive a confirmation email right after purchase. You can take the plan before or after the trip, however, if taken after the trip, if something happens during the flight it will not be covered We may be able to better clarify your inquiries if you call our office at 866-INSUBUY/866-467-8289

Q: I am looking to buy medical insurance for my mother who is visiting from India for 6 months. She is 84 years old.

A:
We would be glad to assist. We do have a plan for someone visiting the U.S. (traveling on a B2 visitor visa), that we would recommend for your mother's age. The plan we would recommend is the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan. This is a comprehensive plan that offers the highest policy maximum available to this age group of $50,000.

Q:Will Atlas America also cover non US countries? My father will be in Dubai from from March 16th for March 27th. Is there an insurance which will cover US and Dubai?

A:
Yes, the plan recommended, Atlas America will cover someone anywhere outside their home country. Therefore, your father will have coverage anywhere outside his country of residence. Keep in mind that all plans on the market for visitors cover for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. They do not cover things that are preventative, routine, or pre-existing. Some plans do include Acute onset benefits of pre-existing conditions and I have attached the information link below to explain that benefit option: Acute Onset FAQ The Atlas America plan does include acute onset benefits for anyone 79 or younger. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
