Q:International student insurance We are looking for Medication insurance as you discussed with him. We went through the Policy details. It seems very beneficial. Before purchasing the plan I have some quarries : Is INSUBUY itself a insurance company or it is mediator firm? If it is a mediator firm then under which company's policy we will get insured? And If we pay yearly then, do we get any discount on $ 461.00. If not can we go with half yearly payment? will it cost the same ? Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing international student health insurance. We, Insubuy, are insurnace brokers and the insurance company for Study USA-Healthcare is The Insurance Company of State of Pennsylvania (217 years old), member of Chartis, formerly AIG. It is an excellent insurance plan. Price is $38/month for students up to the age 24 years, as many months as you like at a time. Whenever you apply or renew the insurance, there is $5 renewal fee. Subject to that, you can either purchase for 12 months or 6 months or any duration you prefer. You can purchase it online at /study-usa-insurance/ If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. Thank you for your kind response. Actually we are three friends to take this insurance. We all can pay yearly premium as you suggested to avoid $ 5 app fee on renewals. So what can be the further procedure to purchase the policy. Is there any other terms and conditions apply to policy while claiming the insurance ? Do you need any medical records from our side? If we are purchasing three policies, company offers any discounts ? You can purchase the insurance online at /study-usa-insurance/ There are no medical records requried. You will get the instant confirmation in the email, that's it. The terms and conditions are described in the brochure at /study-usa-healthcare/student-health-insurance/ and in the policy wording at /study-usa-healthcare-insurance/sample-documents.pdf Unfortunately, we are prohibited by law to offer any kind of discounts. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:Eligibility for reside blue insurance To whom it may concern I am a South African citizen and I am currently working on a private motor yacht in the Caribbean, I would like to find out if i am eligible for the reside blue insurance plan.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Yes, you are eligible for Reside Blue insurance. Reside Blue brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /marine-crew-health-insurance/ Please review this plan and if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for the reply I have one further question regarding hazardous sports. I am a PADI scuba diving instructor and have diving liability insurance which shouldn't influence the health insurance. I am how ever a member of Divers Alert Network(DAN) and i do currently have an insurance policy with them which only covers me if i am involved in a diving related injury. Does reside blue consider diving a hazardous sport even if i do it professionally? and would my DAN membership have any influence on the reside blue health insurance? I look forward to your reply. Kind regards If you are PADI certified, it is not considered to be a hazardous sport. You can purchase the Reside Blue plan, but we would encourage you to keep your DAN policy, due to the following exclusion: Injury sustained while taking part in flying in any aircraft being used for or in connection with acrobatic or stunt flying, racing, endurance tests, rocket-propelled aircraft, crop dusting or seeding or spraying, fire fighting, exploration, pipe or power line inspection, any form of hunting or herding, aerial photography, banner towing or any experimental purpose, kite surfing, mountaineering where ropes or guides are normally used, hang gliding, parachuting, bungee jumping, racing by any animal or motor or motorcycle, rodeo, snowmobiling, skiing/boarding by snow (except for recreational downhill and/or cross country skiing) or water, potholing or caving, whitewater rafting, scuba diving, involving underwater breathing apparatus - unless PADI, NAUI, YMCA, SSI or PDIC certified, and i.) Diving without properly maintained, appropriate, working diving equipment; ii.) any diving below 40 meters; iii.) any type of cave diving; iv.) solo diving; v.) any air travel within 24 hours of diving or any diving within 10 hours of any air travel; vi.) diving by any Insured Person(s) under the age of 12 or over the age of 65; vii.) diving while suffering any Illness causing an obstruction to the sinuses or ears or diving while medically unfit to dive; viii.) Treatment of any condition that worsens or requires additional Treatment due to diving. Please let me know if you have any other questions. You can purchase it online at /marine-crew-health-insurance/

Q:Atlas America Visitor's Insurance I am not a current customer but I had a question about the Atlas America Visitor's Insurance. I'm not entirely sure if this is the place for me to ask a question but it's the only thing I found where I can ask. I am considering purchasing visitor's insurance for about a year. However, what I'd like to know is whether the insurance helps with prescription drugs if it is an existing prescription? There are certain medications I have to keep filled while I'm out of the country but I don't see anything that specifically states the prescriptions can or can't be existing ones. So I was wondering how that worked exactly.

A:
Prescription medicines needed for ongoing pre-existing condition medical conditions are NOT covered. I suggest that you bring enough supplies with you from your home country or pay for it yourself in the U.S.

Q:Visitor Medical Insurance Following is the insurance quotes I have for my parents visit. / Off the many - the agent recommended two - the basic one (the first on the list) - you can turn on limited preexisting and it will give you a different quote (the very first plan). Then if you scroll down there is a comprehensive one (one they recommend - off course its more expensive) but more secure even for non existing conditions. The costs are for the total duration not monthly rates.Let me know if you have any feedback - I dont get most of the lingo or what the agent was explaining. No hurry

A:
Hope things are fine at ur end. Below is a quote for one if my friends parents. He was given 2 quote and seems to be big difference. Which one would you recommended. Other question he has was, how you heard about complains that claim was rejected via this type of insurance. If you could reply all, appreciate it. Hello, 1. I believe that he is referring to the fixed vs comprehensive coverage types of plans: Fixed vs comprehensive. /visitors-insurance/ Fixed coverage: Example: Inbound USA Fixed coverage plans pay a fixed amount for each and every procedure and you will have to pay the difference beyond that yourself. For example, if you take $50,000 coverage with $50 deductible, you will have to pay $50 per every sickness/accident, then the plan pays $55/dr visit, $330/er visit, $3,300/surgery etc. As you can see, those amounts are highly inadequate and therefore, we don't recommend such coverage. Comprehsnve Coverage: Example: Atlas America It does not have the sub-limits such as in Inbound USA. E.g., if you take $50,000 coverage with $250 deductible, you will have to pay $250 deductible once for the whole duration, then as long as you go to the providers in the PPO network and they bill directly, it pays 100% to the policy maximum. Otherwise, it pays 80/20 to $5,000 then 100% to the policy maximum. This is the type of insurance we always recommend to everyone. Personally, both I, him and some of his other friends have always purchased only the comprehensive plans for the parents, in-laws etc. and never the fixed coverage. 2. Insurance companies would pay for all eligible claims. However, it is a medical fact that for elderly people, there would be some conditions that would clearly ineligible and not covered. That is the same across all the plans. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. Thank you for your clarification. I will go ahead and purchase your comprehensive plan for my parents. Please let me know when is a good time to call and buy the same and what else will be required - I have the DOB's and the Passport number of my parents. Thank you so much for providing this invaluable service. Best regards, You can call us at any time during office hours. You can talk with anyone in our office. Their exact names would be required as well. You can also purchase it online through the link you were sent. (Click on 'Purchase' button.)
