Q:Information required please Hi, My brother and I are planning to bring our parents from India on visitor visas (Canada and US respectively). Our Father is 75 and Mother is 61 years of age. Could you please suggest the best visitors insurance which will also cover med-evac for our Dad and a good coverage for Mom as well? Two imp queries: 1. Since Dad has kidney disease he need to to get blood work done every 4 months or so to check the levels. Is bloodwork covered in your insurance? 2. If a doctor prescribes a medication for either of them, will that also be covered? 3. Would we need two separate insurance coverages for both countries? Could you please help us out here? Thank you! Regards

A:

Q:About fixed plans Hi. The deductible on the fixed plans, does that applicable if the patient see a doctor for a cold or cough / visit minute clinic or it applies only for a hospital visit? For eg: if I buy $100 deductible plan and the doctor charges say 100$ for a visit, then the insurance wont pay anything? Thanks,

A:
Deductible is the amount you have to pay before insurance pays anything. So for a regular doctor visit, it is useless (with $100 deductible) right. Same applicable for prescription medicines? Also this deductible is applied each time for a doctor visit. It depends which plan you go for. Please call our office for further information.

Q:Plans for pre-existing conditions Hi, I am considering purchasing travel insurance from your website. I do not see any plan that has coverage for pre-existing conditions. I am looking for a comprehensive plan. Thanks,

A:
Hello, How old is the visitor? The visitors are 61 and 62 years old. One of them has diabetes and requires insulin. Regards, Insulin is not covered in any plan. I recommend that the person carry it from the home country. Please look at /atlasamerica-insurance/ that covers up to $15,00 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions.
