Q:i am planning to buy a travel insurance for a 5.5 years old kid. Destination USA. May you help me with the question: I am not sure how long the kids will stay, so can i renew the insurance? Is the renew price (premium) same as to buy a new policy? for example, I buy 2 month first at $100, if i renew another 2 months, will it be another $100?

A:
Most insurance plans will be renewable, the premium is based upon a daily rate so the amount of days that you are want to purchase or renew for is what will determine your premium.

Q:I'm interested in buying Patriot Platinum America Health Insurance online. Currently I'm still at home (In Belgium) but will leave for the United States on June 29th. In the online application: should I use my home address (in Belgium) as mailing address or my future address in the United States?

You need to provide the address on whichever address you want us to mail the card. I would suggest to provide US address. Q:I am planning to take Atlas america comprehensive plan for my mother who is going to visit US. I would like to know whether this insurance plan will cover normal vaccinations like flu shot, TDap etc..

A:
There is no short term plan for an international visitor which covers immunization or wellness checkup. Insurance will pay for new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the eff. date of the policy. No pre-existing or preventive care. However, Atlas America plan has coverage for acute onset of pre-existing for the age below 70yrs. More information on acute onset of pre-ex here. Please review the plan information and feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. You can compare Atlas America plan with other plans on this website.

Q:Hi, I am from Vietnam, and am going to come to the US to study my master degree. I want my wife to have coverage while in the US and am interested in Atlas America and American Patriot (I myself have to buy the school's plan). I have some questions about these 2 plans: 1. Does these 2 plans cover the lost/damaged baggage or delayed flight of my wife from Vietnam to the US, or do I have to buy another international plan? 2. Are the PPO networks of 2 plans the same or different? I see Atlas is with First Health network and Patriot is with First Health/Coventry network. 3. From my research, 2 networks are different since I see the First Heath/Coventry providers list includes many providers that I also see in the PPO network of a better plan United Healthcare (the one my school offers). So does it mean Patriot has better and larger network than Atlas has? 4. In Atlas's PPO network, I see no hospitals in Nashville, TN, while Patriot's one has many. Is the database of that PPO network correct since I think it is unusual for a PPO network to have no hospitals in providers list.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Answer for your questions below: 1. Plan will provide $250 for loss of checked luggage and it will be secondary to any other benefits you get from airline. It does not cover flight delay. Because this is your medical insurance NOT Trip insurance. If you want you can purchase separate trip insurance to cover flight delay or missed flight etc. 2. That's correct. 3. Patriot has Coventry/ First health while Atlas has only First Health. Yes. 4. Please provide the zip code so we can also look and let you know. How long do you need coverage for her? You can also look at Patriot Exchange plan which is suitable for J2/F2 visa holder. Patriot Exchange brochure, instant purchase link. You can compare Atlas And Patriot plan at www.insubuy.com or visit our F1/F2 visa insurance section here. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
