Liaison continent A plan query Hi, I have bought the patriot america plus insurance for my father, and I was trying to purchase Liaison Continent A for my Mother. However, for Liaison, it appears that for residents of India need the approval from RBI. "Residents of India who are seeking to procure this insurance online whilst in India are required to obtain permission from the Central Government and Reserve Bank of India prior to purchasing this insurance." Is this true in my case as my mother is in India and I am buying this plan online from US for her? They are residents and citizen of India. I have kept this purchase on hold until I hear back from you.
Good morning. Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. If you are using US credit card to pay for the insurance then below rule is not applicable because there is no overseas transaction involved in this. So your mother is eligible to purchase Liaison Continent plan. Liaison Continent brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive-insurance/ Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. Have a great week!
Thank you very much for your quick reply. Also, before I buy this, is there anything that will make me to buy patriot America plus instead of this? I know the coverage is little better in patriot America plus (90% vs 80%) but for my budget this plan seems better with similar coverage, at least for my mother. Your FAQ under claim process suggests that the plans from seven corners need to have pre-certification in each case? Is that true for this plan? Is this a drawback of buying this plan as opposed to patriot America plus? Lastly, just wanted to make sure if it is okay to sign the online application as this plan is bought for my mother/father and I will be signing it. Any other plan that is good for covering heart attack or blood pressure? They do not have this condition at this stage but with their age I am more inclined towards buying a plan that will cover this unless the patriot America plus (father) and this plan (mother) are good for the purpose. Also, I assume accidents in snow are covered by these plans (accidents and these are not as a result of hazardous sports). Sorry so many questions. Thanks for your help.
Hello, You can choose either plan. Most plans have the same pre-certification requirements so you would have to obtain pre-certification if you choose Patriot America Plus or Liaison Continent. It is fine if you purchase and sign the application for your parents. When purchasing plans, you want to choose a plan that provides the Acute Onset benefit to make sure you have the most coverage available. Yes, the plan will cover any new illness or accident.
