Question:

Hello, I am interested in purchasing one of your J-1 compliant insurance plans (ExchangeGuard) to cover my exchange visit to the US from July 15 to August 24, and I have some questions: - In the "Applicant Details" form, you ask about my Home Country. I am a Portuguese citizen currently studying in the UK. However, I will be moving out of my current address in the UK about two weeks prior to the start of my visit to the US. During those two weeks, and after I return from the US, my main address will be my parents' address in Portugal. Is it okay if I select Portugal as my Home Country and my parents' address as my Mailing Address (I will only be requesting online documents), or should I choose the UK and my current address there? - I will be flying from the UK to the US and back on July 15 and August 23, although these dates do not correspond to the dates on which I leave/return to my home country (Portugal). However, I do not require coverage outside these dates. Would it be okay to set these as Dates of Departure and Return in my Applicant Details form in that case? - Finally, I would like to confirm whether the ExchangeGuard plans include Repatriation of Remains and Medical Evacuation, and under which conditions. Also, : In the ExchangeGuard plans, is the policy max per injury/illness?

Answer:

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Your home country is the country where you principally reside. If this is Portugal, you may select Portugal as your home country. The plans will cover you anywhere outside of your home country, including the U.S. The ExchangeGuard  does include coverage for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains. You may view all of the plan benefits by using the link provided below. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.  The policy maximum limit is per injury/Illness.
